The extra weight of the batteries are not great for hiking but the comfort at night pays off the hard work. I keep it running on mid power and it runs for a good 8 hours. I can't afford one of those cooling nail devices at the manicure parlors but the strength of a table fan is too strong and often makes the nail paint buckle while drying. The handy cooler is not flimsy and therefore sits there in a very sturdy manner and dries my nails, once my nails are almost completely dry, I can adjust the air settings to a low breeze, perfect!
Although I have finally received the product and the seller has apologized, I would still hesitate to purchase from this seller again especially if you need something in a timely manner. Fan suddenly slows down or stops completely with no warning. It's a very nice product. It's very well made and quality.
It is portable around the house, although not so much when going out because it isn't exactly pocket size so I usually just keep it next to me on my desk. To be honest I don't really understand what the strap on it is for. I would recommend this product to anyone. I think it is fairly priced for a personal fan that provides more than a breeze but an actual Cooling effect.
But with the ingenious design that drags hot air through the wet cooling filter, it does a surprisingly good job. I bought the adaptor so I could plug it into the wall and this gives it even more power which is great. This product was ok. I bought it for my boyfriend because it is so hot in his office. After purchasing this item from Amazon, I was very anxiously awaiting the results I anticipated from it. I eventually return the item for my money back.
I can also pick it up and hold it close to my face when I need a rapid cool off. This product is brilliant! They figure you can go from thirty minutes to three hours on a "full" sponge, depending on your environment. I have told the company that makes the Handy Cooler that they need to introduce a shoulder holster, so you can wear it around and use it hands-free. There is no turning this off. I've worked with other women experiencing this lovely symptom and one thing I want to make clear; if the symptoms of menopause (a normal part of life, which can hit even in the early 30's) see your GYN doc and try hormone replacement therapy.
This product is suspect the motor gave out after a week and is cheaply made. I emailed the manufacturer and they did suggest sending it back but with the hassle of sending it back and getting the same thing again I decided not to.
Only annoying thing is that since I bought it the price has been reduced $10, Very satisfied with this purchase. It works really well in the dry summer heat.
