How To Get Higher Marks At Your Next Dance Competitions In New Jersey

By Anthony Johnson

Traditionally and only up to recently, all organization, preparation, registration, and scheduling for dance competitions have been done manually and by hand. Every industry that has based their services on these kinds of business models has to adapt to the times or suffer the consciences. People today want to be able to complete tasks at an exponentially faster rate than ever, and the longer it takes the un-happier we become. Since the inception of the Internet, our ability to send and receive data wirelessly has blossomed. It only makes sense that the Dance competitions in New Jersey industry would flower too.

LOOK UP!- Keep your focus OFF the floor please. You're not putting your best foot forward by looking at your shoes. Be proud and confident, and look at your judges and audience. If you're in a duet or trio, naturally acknowledge your fellow dancers with a look and smiles (but don't over do it). Show us that you enjoy performing and love dancing, and you'll get more points for your stage presence.

The United Kingdom also organizes an array of ballroom dancing battle like the Black pool dancing battle and more. The other countries that organize various ballroom battles are Canada, Belgium, Latvia, New Zealand, Romania and even countries of Asia like India are a part as of it now.

Excel has been a great support for battles when scheduling but when you have hundreds of routines to schedule, and you have to manually make sure there are no dancers going back to back, all the times are correct, and things are exactly perfect it can all add up to one big nightmare. There are now Automated Scheduling plus Tabulation Systems available for dance battles. These systems synchronize with the current Online Registration System that the battle is using to retrieve all; registration, location, and studio information.

Then, there is a spot light that follows you wherever you go, to peek into every detail of your dancing. Keeping yourself calm and concentrating is a task then, but a passionate dancingr's quality is that once he/she gets into the dancing mode, they forget everyone around and get engrossed completely into the dancing. The most important thing to be kept in mind, when you take part in a ballroom dancing battle is to rehearse with the costume which you are going to wear on the day of the battle.

TWO: Perfect your arms, hands, feet and body positions in a group. It's amazing how great a group can look when everyone's arms are the same. Even if the choreography is simple, making sure your body movements are as exact as your dancing partner is a sure way to higher marks.

A Waltz will have less risque cuts. The ballrooms gowns should not be worn at length below than the ankle; otherwise, it would cause a lot of entangling. Many times, battles have fixed dress codes and guidelines that have to be followed. So, enquire first about the same and then decide.

Dancing battles are now able to shoot high quality footage of their battle and routines which can be sorted and organized by routine and uploaded to the battles website. No more DVDs and outdated VHS tapes. All the video from a battle along with audio from the judges will become available from their own website with the ability to sell or give away as the battle sees fit.
