Creative Ways To Scratched Glasses Lens Repair

By Jessica Parker

Furniture is a great way to make the space a person lives in much better. Much better than a camp chair and a sleeping bag and provides a level of comfort too. But if one is truly serious about a minimalistic look, glass is a great way to achieve that in conjunction with other furniture without sacrificing on the comfort aspect of things. However, this delightful surface is prone to scratches and here are some useful tips on how to Scratched Glasses Lens Repair, before going to a costly repair shop.

It s ironic how something can be durable and fragile at the same time but there are ways of repairing whatever damage there is on the surface. However, these repairs are only limited to the extent at which the damage is because a tiny scratch or crack is far more easier to repair than one that spans halfway through the clear surface, and if that s the case, there might be a need for a professional.

One has the option to create a scratch remover from the comfort of their own home. All that will be needed is toothpaste and some water. If one decides to use this method then it s important to note that less is more, from that point onwards all one has to do is polish on the desired area in a circular motion. If it doesn t work the first time, repeat until satisfied.

The oldest proverbial trick in the book is the use of toothpaste, white preferably, some water and bicarbonate of soda and most importantly a gentle touch moving in a circular motion. If it fails, repeat with slight adjustments to the ingredients and try again. If that fails then it clearly means that the problems go beyond just being skin deep.

The problem with scratches is that it s hard to assess on whether any effort should be placed in getting rid of them because of an uncertainty of whether the method used will make them go away or not. A rule of thumb when it comes to such is that if you run a fingernail above them and cannot feel any scratches or grooves underneath it, it s safe to assume that they can be removed without replacing the entire surface made out of glass being attended to.

Sometimes it s not the glass that has the problem but a specific portion of the see-through substance we use to look outside while it s raining and pit raindrops against each other, our coffee tables and a whole host of other uses. Sometimes a person needs to get creative.

Alternatively, one can buy a DIY glass cleaning kit. One that is designed specifically for the removal of scratches on glass and mirrors.

Removing scratches shouldn t be expensive or hard, all it takes is a little creativity and ingenuity and things can look as good as new.
