A Necklace Holder For Storing Jewelry

By Mick Jones

Jewelry pieces are typically attractive and putting them on show can produce a decorative display in a home or store. This makes a necklace holder a useful accessory to have available. While useful for display purposes, holders are also practical fixtures that can keep jewelry safely stored.

Keeping necklaces separately stored reduces the chances that they will become tangled together. Anyone that has tried to free knotted necklaces will understand how difficult this can be and how easy it is for pieces to suffer damage. Holders can help to avoid this and ensure that expensive pieces remain in good condition to be worn.

Common options include bust style holders. These come in the shape of the head, neck and upper body of a person, although can also feature only the neck and upper body. They are typically best for holding and displaying one necklace, with the bust itself a decorative piece to put on display. The necklace hangs around the neck of the holder, storing it in the same manner that it is worn.

For those that have a number of necklaces, a jewelry tree can be a good option. This has a number of arms positioned around a central column. With each arm capable of storing a necklace. The arms are positioned to enable the necklaces to freely hang in place and remain separated. Jewelry tree options range from counter top to floor standing models.

T-bar holders feature a central post and base. A long bar at the top of the post gives this style of holder its distinctive T shape. The bar typically has a series of hooks fixed to its underside and necklaces can freely hang down from these. In some cases the top bar can be supported at either end, rather than having a central post.

To keep necklaces more securely stored, wall mounted holders are an option. These feature a backboard that is firmly fixed to a wall. The backboard has hooks set into it, from which necklaces can be hung. While other styles of jewelry holders have the risk that they can be knocked over, this problem is removed by opting for a wall mounted model.

A necklace holder can also be used to store other jewelry pieces and this can include bracelets and rings. Holders are generally available for home and commercial use. The size required will obviously depend on the number of necklaces that need to be stored.
