Global War On Terror Memorial And Ways To Conquer Extremism

By Harold West

Terror memorials show the intention to honor and remember those fellow countrymen who have lost their lives in scenes of blasts. For us to emerge victorious in the Global War on Terror Memorial, governments should come together on the same endeavor. It is because a lot of people have died in the hands of evil men and women performing the attacks.

Out of the ashes of grisly sites of bombings comes efforts by sovereign nations to adopt action plans to end the continuous threats on national securities. This will mean that establishment of memorials of blast victims will be reduced significantly. As if this is not all, the resources that would have been used in conducting counter-terrorism research will be channeled to other areas of national interest.

The use of drone attacks in the military attacks in Islamic nations by the west to suppress the effect of extremist has been a bone of contention between these conflicting forces. Declaring a halt in drone attacks has been viewed as a move to end the increased retaliations by the Al-Qaeda to counter the infiltration caused by the United States. An end to drones will stop the need of Al-Qaeda leaders to recruit many new members to their front at a high rate than we can kill them.

Jihadists also come to learn about the dealings of states when handling those arrested on terrorism charges. The information they gather make them developed resentment to what they term as hypocrisy in observing rule of law. It is because these nations subject the alleged criminals to harsh brutality without any charges or court trial. Releasing these alleged perpetrators whose guilt cannot be established will halt the frequent killings.

The indiscriminate airstrikes by the United States in the Islamic states in the Middle East leave many lives lost and many are left with lifetime injuries. Most of these people seek redress which is usually inadequate if at all they are compensated. Offering genuine apologies to these innocent victims and compensating them accordingly will reduce the acts of terror.

To win the fight on frequent memorials, national governments who have deployed soldiers and military contractors to terrorist hotspots should withdraw all their legions in those areas. If this move is effected, it would remove the intent of Islam radicals to cross borders to engage in armed resistance to start bomb attacks on innocent civilians.

The support that the United States has been giving to dictatorship regimes and repressive leadership to achieve political advantages has brought about resistances by terror groups who want their voice heard. An example is the arms agreement that US made with Saudi Arabia to enable them roll tanks to suppress the action of protesters in the neighboring Bahrain. These efforts to distract peaceful demonstrations have made terrorists to take up retaliatory action by killing innocent lives.

Adherence to international rule of law by key nations in their war against killing by bombings will significantly reduce the loss of life in the frequent bombings. Most nations who afford to capture terror suspects usually carry out their killing without regard to international laws. Putting an end to these prejudicial assassinations will be a good move to win the fight against terror memorials.
