However, nowhere else than the African continent has so many millions of people that suffer from constant hunger, no medical treatment facilities, exposure to the elements and indifference from their own governments. Kids, specifically, suffer terribly. They are not only innocent, but they are the victims of greed, drought, floods and neglect. It is truly the duty of everyone to donate to poor children in Africa.

Great care should be taken, however, to make sure that such donations are made to reputable organizations that will indeed use the money to help those that truly need it. It is a sad and lamentable fact that there are some organizations that claim to help those in need but are unable to produce proof of exactly what it is that they achieved.
Another excellent way in which to make a real difference is to become involved on a personal level. There are several organizations that run educational programs, health facilities and projects that aim to provide water, sanitation and housing to those poorest of the poor.
