This will take you to their website where you need to be to update your GPS. From this site, you will begin by choosing your product family, then the product model. Click the submit button.

Next you will look for the maps you want to update, then click continue. Make sure that you connect your GPS to your computer. Plug one end into a USB port on the computer, the other on the GPS system.

Next, click on the tab labeled update on the next page to begin the updating process. You can expect it to take as much as 10 minutes to complete. Once it is done, you can use your unit as usual.

If your unit runs out of memory for you to load an update, you will need to either reduce the map coverage or use an SD card that you purchased separately to load all or some of the map data coverage on to.

Once it has completed the upgrade your system will have the latest streets and areas of interest on it. You will get lifetime traffic updates with Magellan Roadmate GPS. You must make sure your GPS is registered with Magellan in order to receive up to 4 upgrades yearly of the maps that came with your GPS when you bought it.
